Save a life

  1. Was your design successful? WHY OR WHY NOT? “Our original design wasn’t successful because we didn’t have enough head support.
  2. What could have been improved in your design? ” We could have put foam behind the head to give it head support.
  3. How does the life jacket cause the density of the man to change? ” The life jacket increased the volume.

Machines

November 11/21/19 our science class created a Rube Goldberg machine. A Rube Goldberg machine makes a simply action more complex. The purpose of our Rube Goldberg machine was to hit the “That was easy.” button. We had a ball roll down an inclined plane to knock off a smurf that was on a first class lever (seesaw). The tip of the lever which was a jenga block, hit a launch pad that pushed a toy car forward to knock over a block with string under it. When the string was released, a weight attach to the end of the string dropped on the “That was easy.”  button forcing the button to say “That was easy.”.

A simple machine does work in one movement. There are many different types of  simple machines. Levers, wheel and axle, pulleys, inclined planes, ramp, screw, wedge, and even more! Simple machines help us to require less work that’s why we use them in everyday life!       – Nina Tate
